The short version
FullDial has no accounts and stores no personal data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; in Europe it runs without cookies by default.
The details
Google Analytics tells us which pages and stations people open, when they start listening, and what they search for. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it sets no cookies by default and sends only cookieless measurements; elsewhere it sets first-party analytics cookies. It never receives your name or contact details, and FullDial runs no advertising.
We also keep our own daily totals per station (page views, listens, minutes listened) with no identity attached. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service that reports aggregate page counts only; it cannot identify you and we could not connect a visit to a person if we wanted to. When you press Listen Live, your browser connects directly to the radio station's own streaming server, which sees your IP address the way it would from any radio app or the station's own website. While a station plays on a page, the page sends the station and the title and artist of the song its stream announces, to keep station histories current, with a random identifier kept in your browser; this carries no personal information, and we keep only a scrambled form of the identifier. Questions: hello@fulldial.com.
The FullDial app
The iPhone app has no accounts either. Your favorites and recently listened stations stay on your phone. The app counts which stations are opened and listened to, as daily totals per station, and shares the same moments (screens, stations opened, listens, searches) with Google Analytics under a random identifier kept on your phone; it never sends your name, contact details or advertising identifier, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Stations near you come from the approximate location of your internet connection, never from your device's location services, or from a city or ZIP you pick, which stays on your phone and is sent only to find its stations. When you press Listen, the app connects straight to the station's own stream. While you listen, the app sends the station and the title and artist of the song it is playing to keep station histories current; this carries no personal information, and we keep only a scrambled form of the random identifier.
If you send a problem report or feedback, we keep what you send: the kind of problem, your note, the station and the song the app was showing, the city you picked if any, the app version, and the app's random identifier, so we can fix it. Reports carry no name or contact details.
Deleting your data
Deletion is self-serve. In the app, open You, then Delete my data: it deletes the problem reports you sent, asks Google Analytics to erase the app's history under its random identifier, clears your favorites, recently listened stations and picked city from the phone, and starts a new identifier. For this website, use the button below. Station totals carry no identity and stay. If anything is left that you want gone, write to hello@fulldial.com.
Delete my data
This erases what FullDial holds about this browser: its Google Analytics history (the request goes to Google within a day) and the settings this site saved here, such as a city you picked. Station totals carry no identity and stay.
